REP. STRIPP VOTES NO ON USURPING CT SOVEREIGNTY

HARTFORD- Rep. John E. Stripp, representing Easton, Redding and Weston voted no today on a bill that would amend our statutes anytime California’s energy efficiency laws are changed with regard to water dispensers, commercial hot food holding cabinets, portable spas, walk-in refrigerator & freezers.

Stripp, Republicans Counterpunch with No Tax Increase Budget

HARTFORD—Rep. John Stripp joined House and Senate Republicans today in unveiling an alternative balanced budget that eliminates substantial tax increases proposed by Democrats while calling for concessions in health care and pension benefits from state workers that would save $662 million.

More Taxes on Business Leads to a Tax on Jobs

With the announcement last week by Democratic lawmakers to reduce the corporate tax credit from 70 percent to 65 percent and add a 30 percent surcharge on corporate tax profits. The Democratic Hartford lawmakers are hanging a sign on the borders saying “Don’t Do Business in Connecticut We Do Not Want Your Jobs”.
